Beyond motivation
Personal transformation (evolution) is achieved from the motivation caused by pain. The pain caused by death, a health-scare, poverty, bereavement, divorce or some other life trauma event.
When that pain fades, so does the ‘motivation’ to continue the personal growth. Old habits return, and eventually the old poor results in life will return also. Much like the principles of inertia observed in the physical world, our personal journeys are subject to the same fundamental law – the Law of Inertia. Just as objects at rest tend to remain at rest, and objects in motion tend to stay in motion, our paths to growth and achievement are deeply influenced by our momentum. By understanding this principle, we can leverage it to propel ourselves into a state of continuous growth and achievement that is both powerful and sustainable.
As Charles J. Givens explains, it takes huge energy to achieve initial results, however forward momentum & propulsion can yield ever increasing returns.
Don’t let your momentum die!
