What to expect from the Naked Bereavement Recovery Program

Grief isn’t some sort of impediment that must be conquered. It’s an integral part of the human experience, and through guided mourning and grieving, it’s an opportunity to look for meaning in the world in different ways. It’s a life-changing event; we show you the path to the most complete healing possible.

We approach healing from a holistic point of view, with a focus on respecting your grief while moving towards a life of purpose after loss. When you take part in the Naked Bereavement Recovery Program, you can expect:

  • A safe space: This is a place where you can discuss all of your experiences and feelings, knowing that it’s safe, comforting, and completely confidential.
  • Treatment: We create a program that offers tailor-made grief therapy suited to your individual path and journey. You’ll receive individual counseling sessions with experienced, qualified coaches.
  • Healing: Our main goal is to help facilitate healing. We want you to recover from your trauma and assist you in regaining control of your life through effective coping mechanisms, tools, and techniques.
  • Compassionate, experienced coaches: You’re guided by a Certified Clinical Trauma Coach and specialists who are caring, supportive, and compassionate.

How does the program work? 

Our holistic approach to trauma healing means that we address every aspect of your being, not just the trauma itself. Of course, we want to heal your emotional trauma, but we also seek to improve your mental and physical health along the way. Unlike more traditional talking therapy, we are focused on providing you with the methods and resources you need to move forward.

There are four phases in the Naked Bereavement Trauma Recovery Program:

  • Cocoon: This is the initial phase in the program, where we establish a safe space, physically and mentally, to start your healing journey. We will look at how you process trauma and the loss of your loved one and then start working on self-compassion and empowerment. We will define your healing goal and acknowledge the importance of embracing all of your emotions throughout this journey.

 

  • Acknowledge: This is one of the more difficult phases where we delve into your loss and identify the triggers you have. You will be allowed to feel all of the emotions associated with your loss. Once we have identified triggers, we can start to formulate a recovery plan and outline strategies. We use various therapies, like clinical hypnotherapy and cognitive behavioral therapy, to teach you to neutralize triggers, experience emotions, and get rid of poor coping mechanisms.

 

  • Remember: We embark on a journey of restorative storytelling, where you will review your memories and commemorate the love you had for the person you have lost. We will celebrate their impact on your life and navigate the profound changes that have come about because of their loss. You’ll learn how to relinquish and accept change, resolve unfinished business, and embrace the difficult transition. We put foundations in place that help you craft a new, meaningful life going forward driven by resilience and the enduring love for your loved one.

 

  • Emerge: The last part of your journey is where you embark on adjusting and thriving in your new reality. You will integrate the impact of your loss into your life without it overwhelming you. Your loss will coexist with your daily experiences. You acknowledge the profound shift and learn forward techniques that take you toward healing and resilience with a sense of purpose, peace, and acceptance.
